The word “hiking tent” immediately arises the feelings of adventure and excitement in one’s mind. Depending on hiking tent size and the experience of the person or people involved, such hiking tent can usually be assembled (pitched) in between 5 and 25 minutes; disassembly (striking) takes a similar length of time. The military organizations of most nations use such hiking tent to temporarily house troops living and working under field conditions.

Hiking Tent are preferred by the military for their relatively quick setup and take down times, compared to more traditional shelters. One of the world’s largest users of hiking tent is the US Department of Defense. Camping is a popular form of recreation which often involves the use of tents. A tent is economical and practical because of its portability and low environmental impact. These qualities are necessary when used in the wilderness or backcountry.

Most of the people do not go for hiking trips mainly due to the protection feature. As such hiking tent has all the features which will keep you completely safe. But you can make your self more protected if you will seal the seam in the hiking tent. Try to read the manual guide which is provided with the hiking tent and make out is the conditions in which you are in are appropriate for sealing the seam or not. This will increase the life of your tent and will also keep also take care of your safety.
You need to set up your tent in an area where there is good ventilation facility provided. It will provide you good atmosphere for respiration. You should also determine that all the seams are tightly pulled so that to keep you completely secured.
Now you should also maintain the seam properly. For that, you can take the help of the alcohol and rub it around the seam in the hiking tent, so ensure the proper working of it. Your seams should be absolutely free from all the dirt and other dusty particles.
It is also recommended that you should apply the sealant on the boundaries of the seal. This will act like a lubricant and keep the seal in the proper working condition. It is recommended that you should apply it once in a month, and keep it there for 24 hrs. Then you can automatically see the required result in it.
It is advisable that you should clean the seam with the help of the baby powder, in this way you will keep the different seals from sticking together. Else, it will be inconvenient for you to remove them at each instant.
